The Seven Dos and Don’ts for Working With Graphic Designers

on Mar 28, 2011
The Seven Dos and Don’ts for Working With Graphic DesignersI have always had good luck working with graphic designers, but recently a few friends have told me that they have been having bad experiences with certain designers. Because of that, I decided to sum up my strategies and organize them into a list of seven dos and don’ts for working effectively with graphic designers: Before you talk to a designer, you need to have an idea in your head for what you want your website to look like. Going into a project blind usually leads to a frustrated designer (as the

EasyTemplates Makes Flash Website Building SimplerEven if you’re anything but a coding expert, you may be able to fumble your way through a little bit of code to tweak your favorite WordPress theme. I took a leap of faith, quit my job and actually convinced both my current employer and a previous employer to be my first clients. I started out doing desktop publishing for the daycare center chain (irony?) and writing/editing technical user manuals for the government defense contractor.

Turning Your Passion into Profit

Turning Your Passion into Profit

As someone who hears this message, it sounds simple enough… but to many it can also seem like a load of crap. From both point of views, it’s true. You really never hear about the failure stories of how a web site was started up based on someones passion, then it went to nothing… instead you always hear about the success stories. I have plenty of attempts at making money in niches I’m passionate about, but the truth is… it won’t always work. Instead of wasting time and talking about what hasn’t worked, let’s look at a few concepts that have… which really were passions!
