The Clip Report: An eBook on the Future of Media

In the early...

The Clip Report: An eBook on the Future of Media In the early 1990s when I began my career in PR there were clip reports. These were physical books that contained press clips. This guest post is by Chris The Traffic Blogger. Ebooks have played a vital part in my business for all three of the years I have been operating. From free offers to successful products, these handy publications enabled me to earn quite a bit of money in three years, as well as grow an audience of over 11,700 members. What I’d like to do for you today is go through a history of the ebooks I’ve written, and explain what I’ve learned along the way. My hope is that you will learn from my mistakes and failures

Who Else Wants to Sell More Ebooks?

This morning I was doing some reports on eBbook sales over the last few years and it struck me how much difference there can be in terms of numbers of sales from one ebook to the next—even ebooks sold on the same blog. On dPS we have now launched six photography ebooks (and have another about to launch) and the variation in sales numbers is quite amazing. Of course there are many factors that come into play that could determine an ebook’s success, including:

Thinking of Creating an eBook? Here’s a System to Guide You Through it – 33% off TodayIf there’s one question that I get asked more than any other at the moment it is about eBooks. In fact there are three main questions that I’m asked on the topic of eBooks more than any other: Over the last few years selling eBooks has become a larger and larger part of my business (in fact its now the #1 way I earn a living) and these three questions have been the same three big issues that I’ve had to grapple with time and time again. To be honest I’m still refining my systems

The Charles Darwin Guide to Writing and Selling an Effective eBook

Out of the primordial soup — back in the early 1990s they came. They weren’t pretty. They weren’t compelling. They’re repulsive to look at today. But we bought them — lots of them. They were the first ebooks. Remember Times Roman? There was page after page of it, like an 8th grade book report.

5 Ways to Be Prolific

on Jun 6, 2011
Have you ever tried writing an ebook to gain some traffic? I had dreams of releasing a masterpiece that would be so amazing, people would be clamoring to download it. Visions of traffic numbers in the thousands danced in my head. I’ve written a couple of ebooks in my day, and they hadn’t really done a whole lot for me, traffic-wise. Usually, they consisted of a free template and 6-7 pages of writing. I didn’t charge for them, but I had hoped that they would be a worthwhile enticement for someone to sign up
