Ready for another Groupon horror story? Amy Kunkle owns Food for All Market, a specialty grocer in Philadelphia that sells food items for the very allergic. As you can imagine, it’s not the biggest store in town, it has a small, but loyal client base and up until recently, made enough to pay the bills.

Claim: Bug Reduces The Security of iOS to That of AndroidWhat?!?! Does that headline imply that there is something wrong inside the Apple walled garden that is the perfection that is the iPhone and all things mobile for those that are, well, the coolest of them all? To a degree, yes. One of the biggest selling points that Apple has always had over any other competitor is the virtual non-existence of malware and viruses. Most of that can be contributed to Microsoft hate and Android openness as well as the desire by those who create these kinds of things to take

Consumers Get Wiser to Behavioral Targeting WaysThere is a clothing store, Syms, that has forever had the tagline for their advertising “An Educated Consumer Is Our Best Customer”. A noble idea indeed and one that implies that the more a consumer knows about what they are looking to do the better decisions they will make. In the retail industry, that can make a lot of sense and can help the right retailer. Now, take that same mindset to the behavioral targeting world and there may be some consternation at the idea of a consumer knowing just

3GTV Launches First ‘Smart’ Grocery Store

TV commercials are great for reinforcing a brand preference, but what happens when the TV is off and the consumer heads to the store? If you look at a grocery list, it’s more likely that you’ll see “soda” instead of “Coke” or “coffee” instead of “Tully’s.”

Mobile, Mortar and the Scan and Scram Shopper

on Mar 21, 2011
Mobile, Mortar and the Scan and Scram ShopperYesterday, I went to the closing sale at my local Borders (sigh, and yes, I have book sales on the brain today). They had blu-ray box sets marked down 40%, so thinking I was getting a great deal, I decided to buy one.
